Cut Copy em Portugal em 2021

Os Cut Copy vêm a Portugal com duas datas confirmadas para março de 2021. Dia 23 de março no Hard Club, no Porto, e no dia 24 de março no Coliseu de Lisboa.

De acordo com nota enviada às redações, os australianos trazem a terras lusas o sexto álbum “Freeze, Melt”, que será lançado a 21 de agosto deste ano, onde estão incluídos os singles já lançados “Like Breaking Glass”, “Love is All We Share” e “Cold Water”.

Refira-se que “Like Breaking Glass” evoca de forma particular a música de excelência do grupo, emergindo dela os sons alta qualidade e os dotes vocais inconfundíveis do vocalista, Dan Whitford, que, segundo o próprio, “ it is about the conflicted feelings of a relationship that has begun to unravel. Where sometimes against all logic, you discover that affections run deep just as a break up becomes inevitable. It was also one of my favourite songs working in the studio with the band when we crafted the middle section of the song comprising of weird delay effects, off-beat drum hits and metallic clangs where Mitchell was throwing a box of metal objects around the room, and we stood there recording him”

Já são seis álbuns depois e 10 anos de uma carreira sólida, e os Cut Copy conseguiram de uma forma bastante inteligente desenvolver as suas sonoridades sem nunca as deixar de aperfeiçoar.
